Christmas and my happy birthday!

Today I turned 14! For my birthday, I asked if I could go out with Mom and Dad, so that's what I'm getting from them. I checked my e-mails on Monday, and I got an e-mail from at&t that said: "Thanks for purchasing your new iphone", so I knew what I was getting beforehand. It's still really cool! I love it. We don't do anything very unique for Christmas, so we just opened our presents and played the whole day. I have been having a great time so far! The only bad thing is that it doesn't snow, so it's no white Christmas. That's okay, though. Well, merry Christmas to everyone!

FINALS & BREAK!

Last week we had finals for all of our classes. We had three half days and two finals a day. I studied basically the whole week just for World History. That was the biggest because it was supposedly the hardest and my grade in there was 93, so if I did bad I couldv'e ended up with a B. After the last day, I went on to powerschool and look at my grades. As expected, I did the best in P.E. with a grade of 108%. THat didn't really count, though. WHoever guessed english in the poll won because my grade for that final was 101%! I don't know how I got that score because there wasn't an extra crdit. I got a 94%B in world history and A's in geometry and french. The worst grade I got was an 89% in earth science, which I expected because I didn't study for that one very much. I had a 97, so I knew that even if I failed I would still get an A. Overall, I'm very happy. I have all A's on my report card and over a 4.00 GPA because all my core classes are honors. I'm very excited to be on break. It's so easy to not have anything going on! I'm SO excited for my b-day and Christmas! Well I hope you all have a great Christmas and happy New Year!!!

Christmas DInner

Last night we went as a family out to dinner in lieu of our annual trip to the nutcracker. We got all dressed up and went to a place called Anthony's. We stayed there for two hours eating. I got crab cakes, cream of asparagus soup, filet mignon, and a berry tart. It was SO delicious! The jazz band was playing Christmas music and it was so nice. At the end, our waiter dropped tons of dishes, and it was so loud. We jumped wuite a bit. Mom was giving Tanner a bite of her baked alaska when she jumped, so he had a little on his nose and we all laughed at him. ;) I'll post pics later since I don't have them on my computer yet.

Finally a new post!

WEll I don't have a specific topic for thsi post: just an update. School has been good for the past two weeks because we had a two week break from cheer. ( The football season ended two weeks ago). I start again tomorrow and practice for basketball season. YW in excellence is on Tuesday. There's really not that much to write about. It's just been seminary, school, hw. I'm really looking forward to a visit from family next week!!! I can't wait until Christmas and my bday!I'll try and post more often!

Hey sorry I haven't written in a while. It's been crazy lately with school, church and cheer that I barely find time to sleep, much less write on my blog. Don't take me wrong, I've been having a lot of fun, just busy fun. I decided to follow the trend and write about my dad. He's been so concerned about me lately and he makes sure that I'm never too overwhelmed and if there's any way he can help out, he does. I talk about how busy I am, but he has to juggle the fam, work and his calling. I'm glad we're his top priority and he cares so much too because I have tons of fun when I'm with him. Love you Daddy!

Last day at MISS Adventures

This week went by really quickly. We basically did two things today. First we made solar ovens. Mine was basically an umbrella with cardboard and tin foil over it. We made lunch in them. We had quesadillas, pizza nad s'mores. It actually turned out well. THen we worked on movies. We all made a movie for teh end of camp. I tried to put it on this post, but I can't. The parents are going to come and see it and then we'll head home. It's sad that we're leaving, but I get to have a sleepover tonight, so I'm looking forward to that.

Fourth day- Raytheon

Thursday was spent entirely at Raytheon (the airport site) touring the place. We started by playing math games and people came and talked to us. WE had eegees for lunch which was very good. For the rest of teh day we did so much, I can't remember it all. We went to labs and saw different presentations. My favorite thing was the fire department (They have their own one). We saw the medical part and we got sprayed by the fire hose. We didn't hold it by ourselves, of course. We went into an airplane hangar and saw some robotic airplanes. Overall, it was pretty cool.

Third Day at Miss Adventures

Sorry I haven't written in the past two days. I'll fill you in about Wednesday. We started out with a tour of the U of A in the form of a scavenger hunt. It was very hot!!!For lunch, we did somethign different because we had a 3 course meal and we talked to profesional ladies about their careers. I talked to two ladies who worked on the Mars project and a lawyer. It was pretty interesting. The last part of the day was spent doing lego robots. Ours ended up being very cool and we programmed different things onto it.

2nd day of camp

I didn't get to writing yesterday- it was crazy! We did three things yesterday. It started with aviation. We each made our own planes from scratch with no patterns out of foam. Mine was really front- heavy, so it did a nose dive every time. We were on the 6:00 news for that part of the day. It was cool. I was also in the business section of the newspaper. Cicely and I were in the pictures! Then we did crime scene investigation. Two ladies from the FBI came and told us about how to do an investigation and the different jobs. WE did our own one that they set up for us. I was theevidence and photo log recorder. It was very fun! The last thing we did was science experiments. My favorite was the electric circuit thing. I had never done it before, but Alycia and I won the race. THat was it for camp.

First day of camp

Hello all. Today I went to a camp at the U of A called Miss Adventures. It's been great. I made this blog as an activity. THis morning we did a "get-to-know-you" excersize. We took a thing on photograpphy and learned how to make a movie. THen I did this pic on photoshop. Obviously I'm not done yet.
